Since ancient times, Chu Ci, together with The Book of the Odes, has been regarded as the indispensable model of Chinese literary works. Chu Ci, created by the great poet Qu Yuan, has always drawn attention of the academic world and made a profound impact on the literary works and scholars in the later ages with its cultural thoughts and artistic features. Many studies on Chu Ci have been taken and got many achievements. However, Chu Ci has significant impact not only on Chinese, but many foreign literary works, especially in Korea, who is one of the Chinese neighbors.This thesis is going to study on the impact of Chu Ci to Korea and make a research in Chinese and Korea literature in the field of comparative literature. With the special features of the times, Koreans pay keen attention to Chu Ci and completely recreate many works on the basis of their acceptance of it. This thesis, consists of three parts, will conduct a comprehensive study on the transmission process of Chu Ci into Korea and its impact on their literature. First of all, the author will analyze the transmission process of Chu Ci in Kor ea. Secondly, starting with the representative literary works of Korea in each dynasty, the author will prove the acceptance of Chu Ci in Korea through the retrieval and interpretation of their works, using the methods such as materials analysis, case studies, and comparative studies. Finally, the author will give a brief account of the current situation of the research of Chu Ci in South Korea.
