Guo Shixing is an important playwright in contemporary China, his drama writings have been widely concerned. From1989to1989,Guo Shixing have had created nine works, including two series of works which are " Idler Trilogy " and " Dignity Trilogy ". Throughout Guo Shixing’s dramatic creation, it is easy to find that the works’style has been changed along with the clues of creation time. This brings about Style Change that includes four aspects:On the creative visual angle, change is from the bundles of idle people to the bottom of the society; On the character set, change is from the distinctive characters to the abstract, conceptual characters through symbolic processing. On the structure of the drama, change is from a single and gradually unfolded narrative mode which is based on the Time order to the multivariate, juxtaposition, scatter perspective structure setting. On the language style, Beijing-style style has been disappeared and coarse vile language has been gradually increased. Investigate its reason, it is the Guo Shixing’s choice when he was in that era. At the same time, the works’style is influenced by the contemporary aesthetic culture which has the characteristics of secularization and novelty. In addition, the reason is the social present situation which is the spread hostility of public. This paper will analysis and discuss the phenomenon and problems of the contemporary drama creation which is represented by Guo Shixing through the investigation of the cause of drama style change and performance characteristics.
