The inheritance and protection of intangible culture heritage has been the key projects in our country. Traditional arts and crafts with culture and national character are the main characters of the local culture. But in recent years, with the rapid development of the economic society, most traditional arts and crafts are on the brink of extinction. So protection and inheritance have become the only of living in modern society for tradition arts and crafts.Hangzhou embroidery is an important variety of Chinese traditional arts and crafts in Hangzhou. Hangzhou embroidery has the characters of elegant luxury, fine workmainship and moderate flexibility. Hangzhou embroidery has a evolved process from boudoir into court embroidery and becomes a kind of folk embroidery at last. Hangzhou embroidery has delicate character and luxurious elegance, it is rare seen in China. But now Hangzhou embroidery has been in hot water because of social misunderstanding and shortage in historical records.Aiming at this problem, Hangzhou embroidery is taken as a breakthrough in this paper, the actual historical and cultural knowledge has been listed by collecting historical data and visiting Hangzhou embroidery master. According to the research of the inheritance of Hangzhou embroidery, a new direction of Hangzhou arts and crafts has been put forward that is " Take Hangzhou embroidery as an basic art education in Hangzhou". In this way, arts and crafts can be integrated with basic education in order to achieve its popularization in basic education. Besides it, it can also set up students’ interesting in traditional arts and crafts and make efforts for its development.In this paper Hangzhou brand cloths are also regarded as a breakthrough in order to integrate it with manual embroidery. In this way, we can continue to look for new technology to make the traditional arts and crafts popularization and modernization.
