The article has made a curriculum design on the text <The Taxi Driver KnowsEverything> from the integrated course book CHINESE WITH ME edited by WangZhigang in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It is our wish to show our sincerity andcreativity under the guide of the basic TCFL Theory and Practice and reflect someoutstanding characters and some shortcomings in TCFL classroom teaching. Our newtrial and perspective are hoped to be beneficial for TCFL curriculum design in nextstage.Four parts are included as followed:The first part introduces our reason and the meaning of choosing the subject ofcurriculum design in TCFL. The designing characters and relative documents arelisted and described, and then some curriculum designing research and results arecriticized and analyzed.The second part lists why and how we design the teaching process of <The TaxiDriver Knows Everything>. Teaching material, Class type, principles and possibilitiesin designing, arrangements in teaching time table and usage of teaching aid aresystematically illustrated.The third part, being the essence of the book, includes students, aim, contents ofthe course, learning strategy, teaching emphasis, teaching methods, teachingpreparations, schedules, teaching process and teaching intention about the text, whichlet us make a perfect and attractive design for entry-level Chinese learners.The last part concludes the whole teaching process, evaluates our teachingeffects and points out our shortcomings in this design in hope for more advances inpractice of TCFL.
