With the development of globalization and Chinese economy, the new situationrequires more targeted, specific and normalized Chinese instructional strategiesaccording to different speakers from different culture. According to the regionalculture of Kentucky and characteristics of students of middle schools in U.S., thisarticle elaborates the importance of interesting strategies in Chinese classroominstruction through introduction of the Standards for Foreign Language Learning inthe21Century, Kentucky Teacher Standard and “the Learning Cube” instructionalstrategies. Besides, this article discusses how to apply interesting instructionalstrategies in different situation with clear teaching objectives and the significant tomiddle school students in Chinese learning in Kentucky by using a plenty of authenticteaching cases.
