Relatively, the start of the Chinese local literature is later, but ithas a distinctive path in the more than90-year development process. In different times, ruralliterature appears different feature. The local novel is the most important part of the ruralliterature. It is worth to do the research of the development and transformation of the localnovel. This article tried to investigate the transformations in the recent30-year on the basisof grasp of the whole literature history, and forecasted the further step of the local novel.The early1980s was an important transitional period in Chinese society,then theliterature into the new era. Since the reform and opening up has about thirty years time, Chinahas undergone enormous changes in villages, the emergence of new problems for the localnovels provide a new cultural context.
