A Research Of Historical Political Geography In The Western Shanxi Province From The Pre-Qin Dyansty To The Northern Song Dynasty

As a newly arisen subdiscipline, historical political geography has achieved development to some extent, however, the research content and measures are still being searched. In this paper,The research emphasis of the article is the western part of Shanxi provence.The paper investigate the pattern of political geography in the western Shanxi province from Pre-Qin Dynasty to the Northern Song Dynasty, and research the region across the Yellow River,as well as the reason and influence of existence about this administrative region. This article also trests of the change and impace of the national migration and the frequent activities to the administrative region in Wei,Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Through the research of administrative partition division and combination, establishment and abolition,see if explore interralation between geography and administrative partition, politics, national migration, military, communication.Furthermore, to get a holistic analysis and research of the politic geography of western part, Shanxi provence.The author draw lessens from research measures on historical political geography, and experience summarized by forefathers. Mainly referencing to official history but also combining archaeological materials and the latest research production of history field, the author analysis the subject from mutiple angels and propose own viewpoint on some questions.
