Research On Christian Church Hospitals In Modem Northeast China

This paper mainly study on the hospitals which was built for missionary byChristian missionary society, especially the Presbyterian Church and Lutheran Churchin modern Liaoning province. And also narrate accurately on the medical missionariesand achievement on medicine, and evaluating the contribution on people’s life andhealth in Northeast China. This paper tends to do reasonable interpretation onChristian medical missionary by blending in science of religion and medical ethics.As the earliest opened region in Northeast China, the Christianity in Liaoningprovince entered into early and it was the centre of missionary. The headquarter ofPresbyterian Church and Lutheran Church which are main Christian church inNortheast China are located in Liaoning province. Therefore, The study of modernLiaoning Province Christian medical cause has some representation for the ModernNortheast Christian.The Christian churches in Northeast China is mainly the Scottish Presbyterianand Ireland Presbyterian, collectively known as the Presbyterian Church, and theDanish Lutheran Church. The main hospitals built by those two churches are MukdenChristian Hospital and Antung Christian Hospital. Dugald·Christie is therepresentative figure among the medical missionaries. The research on the twohospitals and Dugald·Christie is conductive to the research of Christian medicalmissionary cause in modern Northeast China.
