Qiu Yi has many excellent translated works such as Caspian Rain,The Diary of A Nobody and so on. The Diary of A Nobody is widely known in theEnglish world, but it still appears unfamiliar to the domestic readers. Up to now thereis almost no academic research on this translation. This is really a loss for thedomestic readers. The primary purpose of this thesis is to study the translations of Mr. SunZhongxu and Mrs. Qiu Yi. It will compare and study the versions of the twotranslators from the aspects of words, discourse and humor translation. Meanwhile, this thesis willadopt the translation strategy on diary-style translation to analyze the translationfeatures of the two translators. Their strengths and weaknesses will be pointed out, hoping to provide guidance for the scholars who will retranslate the book.
