Psychological Crisis for undergraduate students is a tough problem in the steadyoperation of China’s colleges and universities. How to build an effective early warningmechanism with strong maneuverability, in order to provide timely and professionalpsychological early warning and assistance and decrease the occurrence of the crisis, is one ofthe priorities of the college mental health education. Combining with practice, the thesisinnovates the early warning mechanism of psychological crisis for undergraduate studentsand puts forwards its overall framework.The undergraduate students in Northwest A&F University were chosen as researchobjects with a particular focus on freshmen of2011and a reference of sophomore, junior andsenior students. The research explicated the overall level and regularity of A&F Universitystudents’ mental health from screening proportion contrast of colleges and departments,screening instruction, and grade contrast. The overall screening rate was about13%amongwhich6%was inclined to significant mental problem. The ratio between boys and girls wasapproximately the same, non-only children higher than only children, rural students higherthan urban students and senior middle school resuming students higher than non-resumingstudents.Based on the mental health screening, the thesis adopted different practical cases to madein-depth study of early warning mechanism and intervention mechanism of psychologicalcrisis for undergraduate students, analyzed from several aspects like psychology censusmechanism for new students, monthly investigation mechanism of psychological problemsuffered students, team building of psychological health education, other interventionmechanisms, constant response network construction of significant psychological crisis,intervention mechanism of significant psychological crisis, prognosis identification andtracking intervention mechanism and so on, explored specific measures and precautions ofpsychological crisis early warning and intervention in college psychological health education and constructed its framework and network system.At the end of the thesis, the author gave some suggestion to college psychologicalhealth education which firstly focused on how to implement psychological crisis preventionin colleges and universities, then on how to realize the proper integration between crisisprevention and intervention, and thirdly on the implementation of “intervention after suicide”to avoid chain reaction of malignant events. These suggestion and recommendation aimed atensuring mutual cooperation, quick response and favorable operation among each mechanismin early warning and intervention of psychological crisis.
