An Investigation On The Early Warning Of Mental Crisis In Teenagers

We collected information on teenage demographic information,family status,school status and mental health,childhood abuse experiences,emotions,life events,personality,coping style and so on.Sample one,we collected 160 teenagers in crisis who study in primary and secondary schools in Guangzhou and went to Guangzhou Juvenile psychological counseling and assistance center for psychological assistance from April 2016 to January 2017.Specially,the teenager in crisis are the young people age of 10-18 years old,encountered in the life of various types of events can not cope with their own,and that events causing psychological distress,emotional and behavioral problems,seek psychological assistance to the professional advisory body teen.Sample two,189 normal teenagers,randomly selected in Guangzhou.By comparison the difference between teenagers in crisis and the control group's mental health and psychological characteristics,find that,(1)For teenagers in crisis,women's mental health score higher than men(t =-3.79,p<0.05);(2)The total score of mental health for teenagers in crisis were significantly higher than that in normal teenagers(t=4.06,p<0.05);(3)In childhood childhood abuse,anxiety,negative life events,teenagers in crisis in the score were significantly higher than the normal teenagers(t=4.67,p<0.05;t =4.70,p<0.05;t =4.63,p<0.05);(4)Teenagers in crisis and normal teenagers have significant differences in the mental health,and its subscales: the anxiety,loneliness,physical symptoms,terrorist tendencies.The results of multiple linear regression with psychological characteristics(physical health,childhood abuse experiences,emotions,life events,personality,coping style)are:(5)anxiety,emotional stability,extraversion and emotional response of coping style have significant effects on mental health;(6)extraversion,emotional stability,emotional response of coping style have significant impacts on human anxiety;(7)emotional stability,extraversion,psychoticism,depression have significant impacts on loneliness;(8)emotional stability,lie,anxiety,the childhood abuse experience,psychoticism havesignificant effects on physical symptoms;(9)emotional stability,the childhood abuse experience have significant impact on impulsive tendencies.(10)mental health,questionable response of coping style and anxiety could predict whether to seek psychological counseling.Through the above research results can draw the following conclusions,(1)There are significant differences in mental health and mental function between teenagers in crisis and normal teenagers;(2)Mental crisis have seriously affect on teenagers;(3)The warning indicators of teenagers' mental crisis are young people seek psychological counseling,mental health score of more than 64 points,mental health sub-table anxiety is greater than 8 points,mental health subscale lonely tendency greater than 8 points,mental health subscale Physical symptoms greater than 8 points,mental health sub-scale impulse tendency greater than 8 points.When any of the five items are met,the teenage individual has a psychological crisis.Finally,based on the above empirical results,we puts forward the early warning system of teenagers' mental crisis.
