Based on a broad access to relevant research results about optimism and psychologicalbehavior training at home and abroad, it is to design a university students’ optimismquestionnair, to understand the current situation of university students’ optimism, to explorethe effectiveness of the intervention to university students on optimism using thepsychological behavior training.The results are as follows:(1)The self-designed “university students’ optimism questionnaire” is of high degree ofreliability and validity, which can be used as the university students’ optimism questionnaire.University students’ optimism includes positive coping, positive cognition and negative trend.Negative trend includes negative coping and negative cognition.(2)The current situation of university students’ optimism as follows:The scores of different sex university students are significantly different, and the girls’scores are higher than boys’;There are significant differences among grades on the positive coping and the totalscores, and the scores of grade three and four are higher than grade two. But there are nosignificant differences on the other demensions;There are no significant differences between majors;There are no significant differences between town and country;There are significant differences between non-only-chlid and only-chlid on the positivecoping, but there are no significant differences on the other demensions;There are significant differences between student cadres and non-student cadres on thenegative trend and the total scores, but there are no significant differences on the otherdemensions;(3)The experimental group of subjects’ scores in pre-test and post-test are significantlydifferent, and the scores of post-test are higher than pre-test; The control group in pre-test andpost-test are not significant; Two groups of subjects’ scores in the post-test are significantlydifferent, and experimental group is higher than control group.The experiment shows that psychological behavior training can improve universitystudents’ optimism, it can be carried out in university as a new mode of psychologicaleducation.
