The society has entered the era of knowledge economy, where development is rapid and competition is fierce, and abrupt changes have taken place in people's social life. Psychological shock and impact suffered by university students is rapidly ascending, and the problem of psychological health is becoming more and more significant. The fact that many such problems cannot be completely solved if depending on traditional educational means calls for universities to put a new premium on the psychological health education and carry it out earnestly as well. The education is supposed to be adopted into the working category of ideological and political education of university students, in order to carry out innovative research and practice. Only in this way can it meet the demand of the times and solve problems faced by university students effectively. Concerning and solving the problems of psychological health faced by university students, and building a psychological health educational system for university students is an important issue about whether the university students can grow to maturity healthily, and also an inevitable demand for them to become useful persons. As a result, Chinese universities should carry out well the psychological health education of university students under a new situation. To achieve that goal, they must emphasize and carry out effectively the psychological health education, and make their efforts to open up effective ways for ideological and political education of university students under a new situation.This article is made up of four parts:The First Part:A brief introduction of psychological health education of universities. It mainly represents the current situation of psychological health education in China, the significance of psychological health education for the consolidation of the ideological and political education of universities.The Second Part:The application of psychol ogical and psychological counseling in the psychological health education of universities. It focuses on means of psychol ogical and psychological counseling such as Group Counseling, Peer Tutoring, and Clogging Counseling to consolidate psychological health education of universities.The Third Part:The application of psychological effects and psychological identification in psychological health education of universities. It mainly talks about application of effects such as Pygmalion Effect, Boiling Effect, Wilson Effect, Butterfly Effect, Connectors Effect, and two basic types of psychological identification which are self-identity and others-identity. What's more, it puts forward measures to raise the pertinence and validity of psychological health education earnestly.The Forth Part:It puts forward solutions and countermeasures from these aspects:the establishment of working discipline aimed at the mutual promotion of education guidance and self-adjustment, to create conditions good conditions for carrying out psychological health education of universities smoothly, and to strengthen education and management of psychological health.
