| With the development and improvement of global industrial structure, highpollution, high energy consumption and labor intensive industries are forced towithdraw from the stage of history and replaced by low pollution, low energyconsumption and technology intensive industries, large amount of industrial buildingswith historical value are sharply vanished in cities. Therefore, it is increasinglyimportant in how to preserve industrial heritage in urban development. One promisingsolution can be the emerging of cultural and creative industries, which provide a newworld for industrial heritage production and recycle. In recent years, cultural andcreative industry district, as a physical space, have mushroomed throughout the country.Among them, the creative industry parks which transform the urban industrial heritageand the old plant constitute a considerable proportion.Recently, some scholars have paid attention to the research on this type of culturaland creative industrial district, but they either mainly focus on some case studies ornarrowly research in architecture design of the park. Those studies are lack of insightson the relationship between industrial heritage and cultural&creative industries andsystem theoretical analysis in its evolution mechanism.Therefore, this paper will start with the discussion of industrial heritage’s value,cultural&creative industries’ characteristics and analysis of the relationship betweenindustrial heritage and cultural&creative industries. Then, it will address the dynamicmechanism and theirs interaction in the formation and development of the cultural andcreative industrial distinct which transform the industrial heritage, using the knowledgeof experience economy theory, industrial agglomeration theory and evolution economicgeography theory. Moreover, this paper will use the specific domestic case study toexplore the evolution mechanism of the cultural and creative industrial district whichtransforms the industrial heritage. On the basis of theoretical analysis, the paper tries tofind out the key factors in the formation and development of the cultural and creativeindustrial district which transform the industrial heritage. Finally, empirical methodswill be used to test and confirm the results.This paper will comprehensively demonstrate the following main results:(1) With analysis of industrial heritage and cultural&creative industries, thecultural and creative industrial distinct which transform the industrial heritage mainly defines a professional industry park that offers production, exchange, allocation andconsumption of spiritual culture products and services by taking advantage of industrialheritage to discover the value of industrial heritage and to protect it.(2) Based on the research of the relationship between industrial heritage andcultural&creative industries and discovery of social economic conditions fordevelopment of creative industrial parks, this paper finds out the dynamic mechanismand analyses their impact on the development of the park. At the same time, this paperdiscusses the evolution rules and development pattern of this type of cultural andcreative industrial district.(3) On the basis of overall theoretical analysis, this paper summaries the maininfluential factors of formation and development of the cultural and creative industrialdistrict which transform the industrial heritage. It studies on the questionnaires from49enterprises in5this type of cultural and creative industrial district in Hangzhou and getsa conclusion that flexible labor, creative talent, creative environment, governmentsupport, competition and collaboration among enterprises and market demand are themain influential factors. |
