The object of this paper are amphoras on the Great Wall Belt during Eastern ZhouDynasty.On the basis of past research achievements,this paper carries the amphoras onthe typological analysis,and further discusses the amphoras by staging, distribution, sour?ces,represent the people and cultural relations etc the problem of aspect.The content of the thesis is divided into six parts.Part one:Preface.This chapter includes deifnitions of the research objective and spat?ial framework of this study. It also includes a summary of the achievements of the pr?evious research. This chapter proposes a framework.Part two:Variety and stages.Using the typology analysis method,the study analyzedthe amphoras on the Great Wall Belt during Eastern Zhou Dynasty, classiifed the amp?horas and conclude to the development law and pedigree of each typical amphora. Typo-logy research of the amphora, Combining with the typology research of the amphoraand the age of the remains of amphora,the evolution of the amphora can be divided in?to four stages. The early stage The from the late Western Zhou Dynasty and the earlythe Spring-Autumn Period,the middle stage being the period between the middle of theSpring-Autumn Period and the early Warring States,the late stage began to appear themiddle and late Warring States Period,the ifnal stage stated from the Qin Dynasty andended in the Han Dynasty.Part three:The source of the amphora.Compared with the amphora on the GreatWall Belt before Eastern Zhou Dynasty, explores the source of Various types of the a-mphora.Part four: Research into the grouping of the amphora. This chapter analyses the ar?tifacts excavated along with the amphora.According to their combination and distributi?on, they can be divided into five groups. Group I belongs to Rong people,group II pert?ains to Shajing culture,group III belongs to Baidi people,group V is part of Hu or Dipeople’s remains, group IV and VI belongs to Qin people. Part ifve:The cultural and human relations relfected by the amphora. This chapteranalyses the ethnicity and cultural properties which relfected by each group of the amp-hora.lt mainly involves the relationship of the people between Qin,Jin and Rong,Di,Hu and so on.Part six: ConclusionSummary of the work of thesis and viewpoint of the author.
