In the traditional narration of literary history,Yu Jian is the representativepoet of the "third generation" avant-garde poetry. Since the mid-1970s, hegradually formed his own mature theory of poetry. In his poetry, it contains notonly the strong lyricism he expresses to the life and the nature of hishometown, and also the exploration to ontology language of poetry, tonarrative and so on. Besides, it includes philosophical meaning. Yu Jian insiststhat poetry can produce poetry only when they are in daily lives. He is apioneer who comprehends foreign theories clearly. His creation is not limitedwithin some range. He has individual views on the spirit and the developmentissues of poetry. Therefore, in this article we will discuss this topic from threeparts. In the first part, we will analyze the development way of Yu Jian’s poetryunder the literature trend in new period. That is his reflection to the moderntrend. We also discuss the development track of his poetry. The second part isthe highlight of the whole paper, in order to seek his reflection to thedevelopment history of poetry, we will discourse Yu Jian’s reflection to thepoetry ontology through the reflection of language, the rejection of metaphorand the reflection of narrative. In the third part, the profound thoughts in YuJian’s poetry will be discussed initiatively. It is the sublimation of the wholepaper which includes the reflection of individual existence, reflection of cultureand the reflection of social destiny. I intend to find out the height of Yu Jian’spoetry but not pioneer sense. In a word, we will succeed in finding Yu Jian’sunique poetry way through the analysis of history discourse. The historic significance of the poetry ontology and the philosophical discourse beyond thepoetry-text are construed based on the existed research results in this thesis.
