Since1980’s, Task-based language teaching is the latest development of Englisheducation. And it’s the most popular teaching method of education in the world. Manydomestic and abroad education experts, linguists have made deep research inTask-based language teaching.In this paper, the author firstly summarizes overview of Task-based languageteaching, reviews the theoretical basis and development of Task-based languageteaching, and reviews the research achievements of domestic and abroad educators,discuss the definition, type and the characteristics of task. Then the author compareswith English and Chinese textbooks, starting from the material compilation, analysisthe number and types of each material. Then combines with cases in-class, explorewhether the Task-based language teaching is suitable for class; finally summarize thetask-based teaching method to the influence of TCSL.The full text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter: introduction part. State the purpose of this article,review theemergence of it, summarize the research achievements of domestic and abroadeducators,finally, sort out the theoretical basis of itThe second chapter: summary of task-based teaching method. State thecharacteristics of task-based teaching. Sum up the definition and type of the task. Thiswill pave below.The third chapter: the reflection of task-based language teaching in teachingmaterial. Compare with two materials, one is English and the other is Chinese.Chinese one is 《Development of Chinese primary oral English》(A&B), English oneis 《Flying High》(1A&1B). Use the tabular form to compare two sets of teachingmaterials. Then give the contrast analysis of number and task types, and summarizethe results.The forth chapter: the application of task-based language teaching in oral class.This thesis based on teaching material, compare traditional teaching method with the task-based teaching method in the class with cases in-class. Finally, contrast casesin-class and sum up whether the task-based teaching method is used in TCSL.The fifth chapter: problems in Chinese as a foreign language class and how tosolve. Through comparing with textbook and cases in-class, the author find out theproblems existing in the teaching material and class, and give some suggestions. Toenhance teachers’ teaching level, to help students to learn Chinese, to improvestudents’ Chinese oral skills.
