Xiaoshao, received a sudden break-up from her boyfriend. Unable to face the incident, Xiaoshao made the choice of ending her own life by jumping off. Xiaoshao was not willing to follow her parents back to her hometown in a small city in China River South. Living in the messy life intertwined with unforgettable old memories with her boyfriend, Xiaoshao took her parents’silent care and love for granted. Xiaoshao willfully attributed her failure in love to her parents and began to launch a series of revenge on them. Faced with the sudden advent of familial misfortune, Xiaoshao had no choice but learn to handle all kinds of household chores.Xiaoshao began to realize how hard it was for her mother to keep things in order for so many years. She appreciated her parents’sacrifice and learnt to understand her parents’love, and more importantly, to give out her love in return.The drama build a unique character of a River South girl-iaoshao, who carries some typical personality shared by many young people in the80s. the drama demonstrates the fragile and sub-healthy characteristics of contemporary university students, addresses the way to rescue young people from psychological illness and contributes to their healthy growth, By virtue of a spatial-temporal interleaved drama structure, and with the image of "Peony", the plot progress with various clues and props. The drama makes a sincere attempt to be creative in both building the image and expressing the core value, despite the lack of artistic talent.
