Task-based teaching is a special kind of communicative approach. In1990s,it begins to be used in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Currently, the application of task-based teaching in teching Chinese as a foreign language has many deficiencies,for example, the factors that influence the difficulty of the task are very complicated, the basis of task designing is not very clear and how to keep the balance between the language form and the meaning of the language. This paper researches the application of task-based teaching in Chinese as a foreign Language Intermediate Speaking Class on the base of Task-based teaching theory. We determine the topic based on the International Chinese Language Education syllabus, Analysis the factors that affect task’s difficulty according to the Input-Interactive-Output Process; Design the corresponding sub-task, Subtasks constitute a complete series of tasks in accordance with certain combinations; Give an idea for the task design in Chinese as a foreign language Intermediate speaking class.At the same time, this paper discusses the range of language form, the type of t language form input and the presentation of the language form in Chinese as a foreign language Intermediate Speaking Class. This paper also discusses the question of how to make a balance between language form and the content. At last, this paper gives an example of the implementation of the task.This paper starts from the core problems of task designing, then discusses the basis of task designing and the implementation of the task, which is helpful to research on the application of task-based teaching in Chinese as a foreign language speaking class.
