This is a translation project report on Brave New Brain, written by American writer JudithHorstman. Judith Horstman presents a highly informative and entertaining look at the future ofyour brain, based on articles from Scientific American and Scientific American Mind magazines,and the work of today’s visionary neuroscientists. The main contents of this translation projectreport are divided into four main parts: Part One is introduction of the background of thetranslation report and the significance of the translation report. Part Two is the analysis of thesource text, including introduction of the source text and stylistic features of the source text. PartThree is about translation difficulty and translation techniques, including the difficulty ontranslating words, sentences and passages and how to settle those difficulties by using translationtechniques under semantic translation and communicative translation theory. Part Four concludeswith the lessons in the translation. Among these four parts, the key part goes to Part Three.
