Grammatical Features And Translation Strategies In English Technical Texts

With the development of science and technology, English technical texts are more andmore widely used in social life. English technical texts have distinguishing features invocabulary, grammar, rhetoric and so on. Based on non-finite verb structures and parallelstructures in English technical texts, this report mainly analyses their grammatical features，further explores their translation strategies and sums up the translation paradigm of Englishtechnical texts, which greatly reduces the translation difficulty of this kind of texts. On theone hand, this report focuses on the typical grammatical features in English technical texts：non-finite verb structures and demonstrates the features of infinitive structures, gerundstructures and participle structures separately and briefly, combined with examples intranslation. On the other hand, this report pays attention to the rare parallel structures inEnglish technical texts and shows different translation strategies, combined with examplesin translation. This report aims to summarize the translation strategies by analyzing thefeatures of these two structures, which provides shortcuts for this kind of texts and facilitatespeople’s study and work.
