The Study On The Cultural Inheritage And Protection In The Process Of Urbanization Of Zaozhuang

Since the reform and opening up, China’s urbanization continues to accelerate. The number of cities grows and the size of the cities expands. Cities have undergone grate changes. With the rapid development of urbanization, cultural changes become a common phenomenon because of the urban demolition, renovation and re-planning of the cities. It is a widespread problem in China’s urbanization process that most of the cities put excessive emphasis on urban economic development and urban expansion while ignoring the urban cultural heritage and protection. Excessive demolition and construction had destroyed the original historic look of the cities. Representative traditional architectural culture changes as well as the non-material culture survived and developed in this environment. Distinctive urban culture with local characteristics is exactly the key to attract foreign capital,talent,technology and other factors. In recent years, cultural industry has developed rapidly,and has become the mainstay industry in the regional economy.Under the background of the development of urbanization in Zaozhuang City, this context emphasis on the study of cultural heritage and protection and tries to find the problems during the process so as to give suggestions. The study focuses on the development of cultural industries which is promoting the urban construction.As a resource-exhausted city, Zaozhuang use the cultural resourses to develop tourism industry in order to speed up urban transformation in recent years. Zaozhuang City has set up a model of cultural protection although it still has a lot of problems such as lack of long-planning, non-governmental forces and serious damage of traditional culture. Zaozhuang should make long-term planning of the cultural heritage and protection in the process of urbanization, enhance the protection awareness of the public, and provide the impetus for the development of cultural industries. Cultural heritage and protection should be coordinated with and promote the urbanization while the development of the city provides more living space to the culture.
