In the Chinese contemporary literature writer’s group, Jia Pingwa is a very important person and should not be ignored. He made a lot of works and gained great repercussions, of course, it is a focal point that be worth to studied by the contemporary literature. This thesis will make "the sense of homestead" as the entry point in order to layered analysis the Jia Pingwa’s changing process of the homestead in his write process, and research the writer’s sorrow and anxiety about the Chinese culture that is falling in the conflict of modernism, to show that the author kept the pace of the times, founded the question, asked the question and made a great of contributions for the development of the Chinese literature.This paper is composed of three parts, which is from introduction, body, and conclusion. Explaining "the sense of homestead" of the concept of connotation and denotation in the part of the introduction, use the text as the object to illustrate Jia Pingwa’s the sense of homestead writing consciousness gradually progress and explore the research purpose and meaning. Body part mainly includes four chapters. The first chapter simply combed the concept understanding of the "the sense of homestead" of the writer’s earlier works. Through to the creation of the "the sense of homestead" changing rode analysis, to illustrate the understanding process of the writer. The person who was wrote in the novels had different attitudes to their homestead and they could be grouped into three parts. With the female as the main body of life pursuit of their homes, with the intellectuals as the main body to the pursuit of spiritual home, and in a special function can insight into social such kind of strange human subject of cultural home pursuit. The fourth chapter mainly to analyzing the phenomenon that is swoon, leave and death that was frequently wrote in the end of the novels. In this part, thesis in order to research the author’s unremittingly efforts to the literature and shows that the value of Jia Pingwa’s meaning of the writing.Jia Pingwa works reflect "homestead consciousness" is not a simple entity concept, it should also include the metaphysical to spiritual care and the inheritance and development of tradition culture in the process of contradictory thinking.
