Study On The Adverbs In YiZhouShu

The study of the Chinese language history must be based on the research of a reliable specific book. However the research of the detailed grammatical on specific book is very significant for Chinese language history. Adverb is the most complex part of speech in ancient Chinese language, and at the same time, the amount of the adverb is the largest, the range of it is the broadest. The study on adverb is an important aspect of ancient Chinese language grammar research. YiZhouShu is one of the most important works in pre-Qin Dynasty. For a long time, people pay more attention on the research of YiZhouShu’s annotation and literatures, but the study on grammar is relatively insufficient. We choose YiZhouShu as the language material, calculate and analysis all the adverbs. According to the meanings and functions,we try to describe the usages of every adverb. We attempt to discover the value of the research on adverb about YiZhouShu, and lay the foundation of the ancient Chinese language adverb system.This article is mainly divided into three major parts:Part Ⅰ (introduction):We make the brief introduction of YiZhouShu, adverbs, the significance of the works’selection, research methods and so on.Part Ⅱ (body part):The analysis of YiZhouShu’s adverb. This is the main part of the article.Firstly, we describe each type of adverbs, and divide them into different small parts from the perspective of meaning.Secondly, according to those small parts, we analysis carefully to the members of all the adverbs.Finally, after the completion of each type of adverbs’ analysis, we attach a detailed usage statistics, and try to have a quantitative and systematic understanding.Part Ⅲ (conclusion):We mainly describe the YiZhouShu’s adverbs from different types, such as the YiZhouShu’s adverbs’ quantity, proportion, position, and the usages. Then carry on the induction and summary. Besides, we also make comparisons between YiZhouShu and Tsinghua Bamboo Slips One. Study their adverbs, and try to find the differences and relations of the two works.
