"Existence" Or "Knowledge"

The substance of this thesis is trying to clarificate the essence of art via describing the progress of philosophy transforming from traditional aesthetics into philosophy of art based on the realm of existentialism initiated by Marx and Heidegger,combining the typical cases of artistic works.The writer aims at excavating the truth of sensibility which is more profound than the truth of reason.This article includes four parts as followed:The first part briefly introduces the framework of traditional ontology, i.e the direction of ontology towards epistemology.The second part distinguishes the traditional aesthetics from philosophy of art based on the current situation of contemporary art.The third part excavates the truth of sensibility which occurs to works of art primally.Ultimately the writer tries to "read" two works of the representative of contemporary art——Marina Abramovic standing upon the new verge created by philosophy of art.
