| The "Zi Zhui " which means the affiliation of the character, is an important part of Dongba character system. A full-scale analysis of Dongba "zi zhui" is helpful to enrich the study of Dongba character.In the "Introdction", the general situation and the insufficiency of study on Dongba characters is demonstrated. Firstly, the criteria of selecting "zi zhui" are confirmed. According to the criteria,365characters with "zi zhui" are selected. And then the "zi zhuis" are separated from the characters by computer. On these basis, the three basic elements of "zi zhui" are revealed. They are point, line, and circle. And their ways of making up "zi zhui" are changing the amount of elements, changing the position, painting the blank and combining different elements. Thus25kinds of "zi zhuis" are present. Secondly, the shape of "zi zhuis" and their positions in a character are analyzed. Also, the3rd section of Chapter2states the ways and reasons of zi zhui’s deformation. The third part is about the meanings and the functions of Dongba zi zhuis. Dongba zi zhuis cover28kinds of meanings including both concrete and abstract. And their functions are classified into five groups. And the last part is a summery of the former three chapters. |
