With the rapid development of the society, the relationships between the government and public servants are changing on many aspects. The traditional way which is used to restrict public servants’behaviors has caused many bad influences. We need to find out some new ways to improve the performance of public servants. There is another invisible relationship between the government and public servants which named psychological contract. It consists of all expects from both the government and its members. In order to find out how psychological contract influences the performance of public servants, I designed an questionnaire named《The research on how does psychological contract effect the performance of public servants》. Based on the research, I analyzed the present situation and interrelationship between psychological contract and performance of public servants. At the same time, I also compared psychological needs of public servants at different age and working years. This paper aims to prove that psychological contract is the main element which influences the performance of public servants deeply. It also aims to improve that psychological contract has played an important role on public servants’ working performance、enthusiasm and motivation. Furthermore, the paper also brings up some principles and ways on how to improve psychological contract between the government and public servants. In a word, it’s necessary to pay more and more attention on psychological contract. Since the researches on psychological contract in our country have not been perfected yet, we need to do more researches and analyzes on it which can improve the performance of both the government and public servants.
