The farmers’ ideological and political education is an important part of the ChineseCommunist Party’s ideological and political education system. It has an important practicalsignificance to strengthen the party’s rural ideological and political education in the currentera of a new socialist countryside construction. The Communist Party’s ideological andpolitical education in rural practice has nearly a hundred years of history, and has accumulatedrich experience. It has a positive meaning for the current work of the farmers’ ideological andpolitical education to inherit and carry forward the historical experience of the ChineseCommunist Party’s ideological and political education on farmers.Farmers’ ideological and political education of the Chinese Communist Party is the mainobject of this study. This study took a systematic review of the historical experience of over90 years of the farmers’ ideological and political education since the foundation of theChinese Communist Party, analyzed and summarized the general rules and characteristics ofthe party’s ideological and political education on farmers.On this basis, according to the actual situation of the new socialist rural construction inChina, the party combined the historical experience of farmers’ ideological and politicaleducation work and contemporary practice of Chinese new rural construction and gaveconstructive suggestions for the party’s current work on farmers. Through the research, thepaper argues that in the context of the construction of a new socialist countryside, theCommunist Party of China should vigorously carry forward the fine style of work formed inthe long-term practice of the farmers ’ ideological and political education, such as survey andresearch, being practical and realistic, the mass line, plain living and hard work.At the same time, we should pay attention to the new changes of the farmers and the villages, and combine the historical experience of the farmers’ideological and politicaleducation and the constantly changing situation of the countryside in a perspective ofdevelopment, and get ready for the contemporary farmers’ ideological and political educationwork in a measure which is suitable for the places, time and the persons involved.
