The article mainly talks about the middle-convex and varying pisiton’s skirt-sectionNC processing. After introduction of the middle-convex and varying pistion’s complexskirt-section, The piston skirt interpolation principle of an in-depth study:polar coordinateinterpolation and speed combining angle interpolation for cross-section; the same precisionlinear approximation for shaft-section.According to China’s processing stuatus of the piston,this paper presents a design ofthe piston CNC lathe. Lathe bed using inverted" T" shaped structure, workpiece spindlehorizontal on the back, non circular piston lathe front for about double cutter frame structure.Workpiece spindle drives the rotation of the workpiece,and to drive the direction of Z axisfeed, the X axis twin turret can achieve the roughing and finishing in one clamping down.This processing method is more reasonable, convenient and efficient, suitable fornoncircular piston machining, especially for the larger sizes of noncircular piston turning,good flexibility, high precision machining.According to the middle-convex and varying ellipse piston turning’s processingcharacteristics,we designed overrall structure of the CNC machine for a piston,and usingPro/E to establish machine’s solid model.In which,the right X axis feed part design fordouble driving structure, establishment of dynamic mathematical model of servo feedsystem based on high frequency knife, Controller of high frequency servo is designed.The NC system is an open double CPUs architecture based on ParkerACR9000motioncontroller and industry PC. ParkerACR9000’s ComACRsrvr.dll is called by VC++in theWindows platform,which developed numerical system management software modules.According to the characteristics of Piston Turning, to build the movement axisexperiment platform based on ParkerACR9000motion controller. Using feedforward andincomplete differential PID for parameter setting and debugging of the shaft motor. Finally,by trial cutting in the reformed lathe.The article is with large size for middle-convex and varying ellipse piston machiningfor research object,what’s more,it also can be referenced for other noncircular cross sectionworks.It provides favorable foundation for more research of the noncircular cross sectionturning.
