Now steel production has become an important indicator to measure acountry’s overall national strength.China’s metallurgical industry,the degree ofautomation of the most metallurgical equipment is not high,and the productionefficiency is not high. There is a big gap in the quality of production of similarsteel compared with overseas. With China’s rapid economic development, thereis an urgent need to change the metallurgical equipment of traditionalmanual,and semi-automatic mode of production, production automation and control,toimprove the quality and quantity of steel.In the age that the global economy is rapidly developing,metallurgy ind-stry is highly competitive,in order to improve the quality of the product, thedemand for automation and control equipment becomes higher and higher.Based on this, we first understand the basic structural principle of theleveler,according to the production process and actual site conditions straight-ning machine control system design. The control system’s master is PLCprogrammable controller,and the system frequency unit and the ET200M remote I/O devices are used as slave stations. Field bus PROFIBUS-DP comm-ncation, the PLC master and each slave connected to the accuracy of the fielddata transmission,real-time. Siemens configuration software WinCC V7.0Siemens S7-300PLC on the MPI interface communication between PLC andPC to achieve the input parameters in the scene of the production,equipmentoprtion status display, fault alarm, operating authority management. Convenientand safe for site operation and ease of maintenance, debugging,using the touch-creen design, the use of WinCC flexible configuration, on site and remotemanagement.This thesis focuses on the study of screw-down of the straighteningmachine, the simulation analysis of the structural characteristics of hydraulicpressure expert PID control. For the first time, Yaskawa inverter has been usedin steel rolling equipment of eleven roller straightening machine production line,compared with the previous similar products, Siemens ABB,the economy isgreatly improved.This design can not only improves the production efficiency and secur-ity,but also makes contribution to the improvement of the level of automation equipment.
