Medical ECG equipment is one of the most modernized high-tech products. With the development of science and technology, ECG monitor has come to a new stage of development, where the embedded control system is the most important key technology.With the more advanced integrated circuit technology and the widely used embedded technology, medical equipments has now been bestowed many powerful features. In some occasions, the old IPC and C51SCM can be completely replaced. With its low power consumption, high performance, low cost and portable size, embedded technology is well adapted for digital medical instruments.Based on S3C2440processor and wireless mobile ECG monitor with WindowsCE5.0embedded system, this paper designs a set of three-lead wireless mobile ECG monitor, which can in real time display patients’ ECG, calculate the main ECG parameters and analyse arrhythmia results. The system has a high performance-price ratio and is easy to carry. It is applicable to the clinical examination and rounds care in hospital and normal cardiac health care at home.This paper studies the ECG and techniques of collection, processing and analysis. By using the8051serial SCM and powerful, highly integrated PTR5000wireless transceiver module, the paper designs a high real-time ECG signal acquisition and processing system, which has low power consumption and can be transported by wireless. USB data conversion interface adopted in this paper is to connect the ECG radio receiving system with the host computer, which is convenient and flexible to use. The real-time monitoring software system adopts the design of multi-threaded WindowsCE programming, which can guarantee timely processing and display of the received wireless ECG data, making the analysis process more accurate.In this paper, an improved algorithm is used on the recognition of ECG key points. The traditional algorithm is first order differencial zero-crossing retrieving ECG key points. However, in the improved algorithm, the first order differencial zero-crossing or near zero retrieving ECG key points is used. The improved algorithm can retrieve most ECG key points, such as starting point of wave P, peak of wave R, starting point and end of wave QRS and end of wave T.Under the experiments, the ECG data acquisition and the wireless signal transceiver and transmission system, as well as the PC software system designed in this paper is feasible. The system can display waveform undistortedly and has a helpful Man Machine interface. With its portable size, low power consumption and fast operating speed, its future should be promising.
