Steel plate forming by line heating is a critical technology to shipbuilding industry. The appearance of line heating device can improve the steel plate forming quality, accelerate the producing speed and reduce the cost. The equidistant System of heater and steel plate of line heating device is machine generally. The extent of the automation of the technology means a lot to the automation of whole equipment.Embedded electronic products have appeared in a number of various fields, embedded technology has now become the most popular areas of study. ARM with its high-performance low-power characteristics has become the most widely used 32-bit embedded processor, also embedded Linux, with its powerful, free, as well as the development of resource-rich, and so take advantage of the embedded operating system dominance. This paper used the ARM9 (S3C2440+Linux) embedded systems which are widely used at home and abroad, used sensors and some peripheral circuit, and use electromotor to drive heater move up and down, so this gain our ends which the distance of heater and steel plate is invariability. I also used the temperature sensor and the touch screen, used Qt graphical interfaces to display temperature signal and distance signal, and used key-press setting in Qt to send signals for electromotor. So in this way we can achieve inspect and control for system.The main task of thesis includes:Based on Samsung S3C2440 development board of ARM9 for embedded hardware platform, given a whole scheme and the overall framework of the system; the establishment of a cross-compiler development environment, the transplant u-boot, embedded operating system and file system, the main software-based system designed to build a software development platform; chosen appropriate components and sensors, designed circuit and done printed circuit board as needed; changed and programmed hardware drivers, and made in kernel; introduced ways which collect data through serial port and GPIO; research on the technique which how to microprocessor transmits PWM to electromotor through drive circuit; build a Qt graphical interfaces development platform, set up a item file and programmed application, achieved displaying spot signal and signaling to control device.The experimental results show that the system be able to stable operation. It can normally display temperature signal and distance signal, and it can control electromotor by key-press in LCD touch screen. It realize expected function and has a practical and useful value. It lays the foundations that it embeds main device and further extends based on it in future.
