Battery, as energy storage in power supply, plays an important role in power protection, industrial production, information security and so on.How to monitor the batteries timely and online has always been the research issue bothers people.Recently, the development of the Internet technology especially the extention research of wireless senor network (the internet of things) provides much technical support for studying and resolving this issue.There are two ways of monitoring battery. One is Not-online. The parameters of batteries are tested by related workers regularly.The other is Online. The parameters of batteries are tested timely in the case of the work without interrupting and sented to the monitoring center through a wired or wireless means of communication., The first way not only wastes human, material and financial resources, but also cannot guarantee to find the damaged battery and repair them timely. The traditional way of monitoring online adopts the industrial bus such as CAN, RS232, RS485 and so on. These wired ways have many disadvantages such as difficultied of installations and maintenances, the limitions of not being used in different platforms and the poor universal applications. According to these shortcomings, Modern Communication Technology Lab of Central China Normal University has proposed Real-time monitoring of battery issues based on Wireless sensor networks and remote monitoring technology. This article is one part of the research topic, which foucs on the design and implementation of gateway based on embedded Browser/Server.This paper firstly describes the research background and the significance. Then the related knowlegdes of the embedded system and the critical technologies of the embedded WebServer and the Qt/Embedded have been introduced. Third, the gateway hardware structure has been discussed and analysed. Finally, this paper describes the design of embedded WebServer and user surface of QT in detail.The main works of the design and research are as follows:1. The construction of the embedded platform of Linux system; The modification of device driver in equipments such as led, networks, serial ports, in the Linux syetem, and the cut of Linux kernel to construct the proper embedded software platform.2. The construction of the embedded WebServer. This paper constructs the embedded WebServer, discusses the principals of embedded WebServer based on the analysis of HTTP protocol and AJAX script. After comparison of different kinds of server models, the system utilizes the type of multithread which can meet the demands of multi-access and multi-tasks. Besides, the system supports the services of Email and GPRS.3. The design of GUI user surface. The Qt/Embedded has been transplanted into the embedded platform, and the friendly surface has been designed according to the system requirements.At last, the paper verifies the application of system, shows the related function pages and points out the defects which should be improved in the future.
