With the rapid development of computer, networking and communications,electronics technology, it brought a new revolution in remote monitoringtechnology of the moving vehicle, especially consumer electronics handhelddevices, mobile car electronic equipment is more and more widely in recentyears. Embedded technology provides an excellent solution for them, whichmakes it possible to develop a high-performance and low-cost embedded vehicleterminal. The system is a subsystem of remote fault diagnosis system—RemoteCondition Monitoring Subsystem, the performance of which is good or bad isdirectly affected by the accuracy of its data monitoring and real-time datatransmission. Therefore, the paper proposes and designs a remote conditionmonitoring system based on embedded vehicle terminal in existing conditions ofthe laboratory:CAN bus data acquisition board MSG-TOP808, main controllermodule TQ2440and GPRS module BENQ M22experimental platform. Themain work is as follow:(1)CAN data acquisition part: study CAN2.0B protocol and set up a datacollection network of three CAN nodes: two nodes were collected as a focalnode, another node is responsible for the CAN-232protocol conversion;(2)Building the host controller side platform: The platform uses S3C2440Achip as the core microprocessors, embedded Linux operating system as asoftware development platform, which consists primarily of successfultransplantation boot loader bootloader combined with on-board hardware, Linuxkernel, construction of the root file sytem, LCD frame buffer displaydevice“Frame Buffer”, touch screen, A/D converter, serial and Ethernetcommunication driver development; Linux serial port application design; skilleduse of the built-in GPRS module BENQ M22AT command set, the preparationof serial port controlling GPRS module with the Internet networkinterconnection; embedded Qt4vehicle terminal user interface; open up twothreads of control data acquisition and GPRS wireless transmission.(3)Building a remote monitoring platform: Such as Apache Web server Tomcat7.0, JDK7, JSP and SQL Server2000builds an easy operation, practical,convenient and user-friendly interface remote data monitoring platform.After the system repeatedly tested, it has met the expected functionality.Finally, throught the system evaluation, summary and outlook, and proposepost-needed improvements. The system is highly versatile, easier to extend otherfeatures.
