With the rapidly social and economic development,there is a fast growth of vehicles ownership in China,more and more families have private cars,which exacerbating urban road congestion,the probability of traffic accidents also occur largely,which is a serious threat to people's lives and property security.In order to improve the urban road traffic safety level,the road traffic management department needs to master the urban traffic safety status and monitor it,understanding the traffic safety hidden trouble,the relevant departments can take measures to improve the urban road traffic safety level.Based on this background,it establishes a monitoring index system for urban road traffic safety including three first-level indicators and 12 second-level indicators.It firstly analyzes the influences of drivers' behavior,traffic flow,weather,road,management policy on urban road traffic safety status,and considers the availability of data and the periodicity of monitoring to determine initial indicators through the expert scoring method to carry on the preliminary selection to the index system.At present,domestic and foreign scholars generally use the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)to determine the weight of monitoring indicators for traffic safety condition monitoring and evaluation.This method is subject to expert work experience and subjective judgment,which is not conducive to objective monitoring and evaluation of urban road traffic safety.Rough set is a data mining tool based on mathematical set theory.The biggest feature is that it does not need any a priori knowledge except the data set which needs to be processed,only classifies the data itself and processes the incomplete data Information;can preserve the key data under the premise of information on the data to simplify and obtain the knowledge of the minimum expression.It combines the knowledge and experience of subjective weighting method with the inherent relation of traffic monitoring data of objective weighting method,and proposes the weighting method of urban road traffic safety condition monitoring index based on AHP and rough set.
