Hunan Pot Bottles Of Mountain National Nature Reserve Large Fungi Resources Investigation

Hunan Huping Mountain National Nature Reserve (HHNNR), located at the northeast of Wuling Mountains, is in a transitional zone from Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to eastrtn low mountains and hills area. This national nature reserve has the largest forest ecosystem in Hunan province.This nature reserve is relatively less affected by Quaternary glacial period profitted from the shielding effect of Qinling Mountains and Daba Mountain in the northwest of the nature reserve. Therefore, this nature reverse, since its advantageous geographical location, is a refuge for the plants and animals from the Tertiary Era. As a result, this nature reserve riches in biodiversity and various macrofungi.In this paper, the macrofungi resource in HHNNR was systematically investigated with following strategies:collection and recordation of fungal specimens, observation of morphorlogical character, mycological classification based on microscopic feature and identification with chemical reagents. In this study, we focused on species diversity of macrofungi in HHNNR and classified these macrofungi. Ecological distribution and economic value of macrofungi in HHNNR were also illustrated, and the main species of macrofungi for medicine, eating and toadstools were listed in this paper. Moreover, we discussed the protection, exploitation and utilization of the macrofungi resource in HHNNR.Here we show that HHNNR riches in biodiversity of macrofungi with342species classified into Basidiomycota and Ascomycota respectively. Among them, there are10families,17genera and38species belonging to Ascomycota, and43families,110genera and304species belonging to Basidiomycota. Fifty one of these342macrofungi species are new record in Hunan Province and8species are new record in China. In addition,184of these macrofungi species possess economic value that they have great potential application in food, medicine, wood rotting, and so on.
