A Solid Plain

Starting from the simple feelings expressed in the oil paintings by Yang Liguang, this paper analyses oil painting of different periods in the core of humanities ideas. It also sums up the commonalities among the simple characteristics of oil paintings of different periods, with the clue of the development of modern Chinese oil paintings. Therefore, there are two aspects of the form of the simple characteristic in a good oil painting. One is the real experiences and feelings to the life by artists themselves, and the other is to express to pay close attentions to the society and humanities concern.
