Thisresearch put its basic aim on the exercises of elementary Chinese test books, and ourresearch objects are Integrate Chinese and Boya Chinese, two well-known Chinesetest books enjoying high prestige in Chinese education realm both home and abroad.The research firstly gathers accurate statistics of these two objects from three aspects,which is general exercises quantity and types, exercise content, and exercise styles.After that the research analyses these statistics results, and comes to conclusions onboth the similarities and the differences of these two Chinese test books. Finally theauthor makes several suggestions on the design and arrangement of Chinese testbooks’ exercises for future test books writing based on all of the former conclusionsand analyses of these two research objects.
