Martin Heidegger (1889-1976.) is the famous German philosopher, esthetician inthe20th century. His aesthetic and ideological system has perfected the summary ofthe relationship of "art" and "truth" in the history of Western thought, which stillinfluences the thinkig of western cultural sphere on this question until now. Heactually gave no answer to it, but just an idea or direction. The introduction of thisarticle outlines the important position of the pursuit of truth in Heidegger’s life ofphilosophy, and his opening the path of exploration beyond the previous generation ofthinkers. The first part of the text starts from the issue of art as a kind of existenc, and inthe coordinates of "the truth", combs the process of Heidegger’s thought of existence,as well as the Hay West’s " clean-up and critical of western “existence history",which contains Heidegger’s marks on the exploration of “existence”, leading toHeidegger’s aesthetics road that sets “art” as the core signpost. The second part focuses on the art and poetry of their own characteristics andrelationship. The author starts from the angles of “the relationship of art and poetry”,“the creation and appreciation”,“poetic poetry and poetic poet”, and “the distinctionand connection of poetry and thought”, and argues that art is the origin while poetryis the origin of art. Only poetry will present the truth, making existence open. Thepoet can help us find the light of another real world, which means human truly livesas human’s existence. In Part Three, the author discusses the manifestation of artistic truth, startingfrom four perspectives:“From the theory of correspondence to existence”,“self-sheltered glade,"the nature of art and truth", and "modern cultural state from thetechnological background ". By exploring Holderlin’s poetry, Heidegger extended it tothe source of cultural significance and even the meaning of truth. And he pointed outthat if there is no divine presence, the person’s dwelling can not afford the evil ofhistorical time. Truth-seeking eyes should be in the shelter. When there is gap amongall the disputes, existence as its own exists, and the truth at this time set up its own into the works. Growth is the twinkling of an eye, unpredictable and fleeting. Truth isnot only the correspondence of all things, but more the setting of them without shelter. The truth is thus open to the humans in the art weathered by history. Sicience can notbe closely related to the truth, while the works of art reveal the truth, and thus art ismore proximate to the existence of truth and its nature than science.Overall, the Western tradition of aesthetics and art theory only grasp the art fromexistence, but they forget the very existence itself. Heidegger’s artistic thought istrying to show the existence. He has laid the basis for the good and the beautiful, which becomes the origin place of art recourse. In Heidegger’s opinion, beauty andartistic nature are only related with truth and existence. Artistic nature, truth andexistence interacts with each other, which becomes the premise of the realization fofreedom.
