Feminist Tendency Of College Students Related Psychology Research

In modern society, Woman are becoming a more and more important strength in supportingour economic growth and social development. For quite a long time, woman, compared to men,were given unequal social status and role requirement, which depressed women’s normaldevelopment. As equality being more and more emphasized by society and woman’sself-awareness heightening, woman’s social status has somewhat increased, but it still needsmany efforts to reach the real equality. In order to understand people’s attitude toward womenbetter，We preliminary worked out The Feminism Tendency Scale for College Students and didfurther psychology relevant studies, which helped us to understand the feminism Tendency ofcollege students.Students from QuFu Normal University, ChangJiang University and ShangHai JiaoTongUniversity were chosen as our subjects and the draft questionnaire was done by analyzingreferences and issuing opened questionnaires. I deleted improper questions after twice forecastand factor analysis, finally get The Feminism Tendency Scale for College Students, whichcontains19questions. The scale includes four factors: right of enjoyment, roles and statuses,equality of men and women, special speeches and behaviors. Tested the scale along withSelf-esteem Scale and The Achievement Motive Scale and did confirmatory factor analysis byLISREL8.70software. we get several main conclusions below：(1) The Feminism Tendency Scale for College Students has good reliability and validity.(2)College student’s feminism tendency has varying degree of difference in demographicstatistics variables, especially has significant difference in gender.(3) Both male and female college student’s self-esteem has significant positive correlationwith factor right of enjoyment. Male college student’s self-esteem has significant negativecorrelation with factor special speeches and behaviors.(4) Female college student’s achievement motivation has significant positive correlationwith factor roles and statuses. Male college student’s achievement motivation has significantpositive correlation with factor right of enjoyment.
