The Influence Of Folk Art Elements Of Chinese Interior Design Style

In modern time, together with the development of technology, every coroner of China is flooded with various foreign cultural elements. Folk art is a local artistic form in China, its living space is narrowing day by day. The folk art works passed down by our ancestors which we were proud of in old days, is disappearing as time goes on. The number of folk art craftsmen has decreased drastically. What measures should be taken to keep the inheritance of folk art? That is the problem which is worth meditative. To solve this problem, this thesis introduces Clay Sculpture Art---a unique folk handicraft of China and one member of Chinese folk arts, puts clay sculpture art works of different regions such as clay sculpture of Shangdong Gaomi Niejia Village, clay sculpture of Henan Huaiyang, clay sculpture of Shanxi Fengxiang, Tianjin Ni Ren zhang clay sculpture and clay sculpture of Wuxi Huishan together, analyzing each of them from regional characteristics, brand origin, modeling classification, clay manufacture and color, trying to explore the local custom and humanistic characteristics embodied in different clay sculpture works. As the saying goes,"A side water and soil raises a side people". Different environment and custom influence the characteristics of clay sculpture works. Then, based on the current condition of shortcut hotels in China and overseas, the thesis analyzes the origin of shortcut hotels, the cause, development condition, design status and design practice of shortcut hotels in China and foreign countries, in order to get a complete understanding of the design of shortcut hotels, making preparation for designing. Then, the thesis analyzes successful cases of hotel designing in China, selecting the essence, and using them during designing in the future. Finally, the thesis analyzes the use of clay sculpture elements in the designing of shortcut hotel in China from three aspects as, the use of color of clay sculpture in hotel, the use of pattern of clay sculpture in hotel and the display of clay sculpture in hotel. The thesis carries out research into the shortage of Chinese characteristics in the designing of shortcut hotel in modern China.
