We should explore the interaction between the "mother tongue" culture and theformation of music styles from the "mother tongue" culture itself. Firstly, the "mothertongue" culture, passed down from generation to generation, plays an important rolein people’s daily life, which surely determines the aesthetic tastes and styles of music,and also forms the related theories and general cognition feelings and identities ofculture. Secondly, these theories effect the national music in turn, which make theessence of national music to be inherited continually and carried forward. As thenational music itself is only the carrier of the "mother tongue" culture, whichdetermines the interaction between the "mother tongue" culture and the formation ofmusic styles under the influence of the "mother tongue" culture.The different factors, like geo-environmental, geography and dialect, concludethat the "mother tongue" culture plays a decisive and inevitable role in the folk songs.Folk songs directly reflect the "mother tongue" culture, and dialect is the carrier ofthe "mother tongue" culture. Dialect occupies an important position in the "mothertongue" culture, especially in the national music, so does the national vocal music.Whether can the Chinese national vocal music stand tall in the world vocalmusic field, lies not only in the amount of students cultivated who can sing foreign songsusing "bel canto", but also lies in the key that how to set up the students’ national prideand let the students love "mother tongue" vocal music culture, so that the students arekeen on the singing and researches of the Chinese national vocal music, which canestablish and perfect our national vocal music system as soon as possible to promoteresearches and development of the "mother tongue" vocal music culture art. Henceone can see that "mother tongue" culture is the core of our national vocal music, andthe key of national music existence and development. If we want to inherit and carryforward the national culture, we must first respect the traditional cultures, languagehabits, customs, etc. of each nationality, which is the source and glamour place ofnational folk music; second, teachers should have open minds, all-inclusive academicattitudes and strong abilities in scientific research innovation, further more, teachers should possess the abilities to interpret and grasp the traditional music culture.Therefore, it is particularly important to construct modern social compound musicteacher resources.This paper discusses the diversity of music education and vocal music teachingthrough analyzing the relationship between the "mother tongue" culture and musicstyles. Regarding this as an opportunity, the paper explores the vocal music teachingdirection of the mother tongue music culture, and also explores the diversified trendof vocal music education based on "mother tongue" culture. This paper takes folksongs of central and south China, north China, northwest, northeast China and otherregions for example, combining with contemporary cultural diversified trend, makesan attempt to describe the connotation of the diversified vocal music teaching andmusic education under the influence of the "mother tongue" culture.
