Group identity is defined that individuals form the awareness and concepts of the group,experience and share group values, emotions and sense of history through the cognitiveprocessing of group. Group identity is the basis of the human socialclassiifcation, It relfects the’peoples views and opinions about the society.In this thesis, using questionnaire survey method583college students in differentuniversities are investigated, and the some studies are did on the basis of the ifndings, theseresearch include:Study1: rfom the perspective of group identitycolle, the groups cognitive differences of gestudents are analyzed in key universities, general universities and vocational schools, apart rfomthat college students identity scale is made, and college students’ identity structure inintercollegiate groups is explored with factor analysis methods.Study2: the relationship between the groups identity and career decision-making on thebasis of Study1is tired to explored, the impact of group identity on the career decision-makingis tired to quantified, which can provide a guiding direction for college students’ career planning.With the analysis of detailed data, the main conclusions are as follows:1.four dimensions of group identity are derived by item analysis, exploratory factoranalysis and confirmatory factor analysis, the dimensions that identity difference, emotionalidentiifcation, evaluation and participation behavior are all have good results, simultaneously,with College Students’ Career Decision Scale, the relationship between group identity and careerdecision-making is analyzed’iousl, it indicates that the identitys differences can obvy predict thevairous dimensions of career decision-making. Evaluation can apparently predict the total scoreand awareness of career planning. The each dimension of group identity has different effects onthe career decision-making by path analysis, The total identit’ys difference and evaluation canexplain decision-making score, planning awareness and indecision to a certain extent.2.The degree of group identity of the key universities’ students is generally higher thanordinary universities and vocational in stitutions, the group identity of students in the generaluniversity is signiifcantly higher than students in vocational schools.3.Career decision-making of the students in key universities and vocational colleges aresignificantly higher than the students in general college.4.The each dimension of group identity has a significant role in the prediction of careerdecision-making and they are all good with path analysis.
