Folk adage is plain, direct and concise, that’s why it’s spread popularly in folksociety. People use it to expressing thoughts and ideas with each other. Folk adage playsa very important role in linguistics.Folk adage has rich cultural connotation and a strong national style. Folk adageable to reflects the mode of thinking of a nationality and have a deeper understanding ofthe language.It is well know that there are thousands of years of interflow between China andKorea, especially in linguistics. The Chinese characters in Korean are hand down fromChinese Language; lot of times these two languages share a similar expression.Although there are long cultural histories interflow between China and Korea, butit’s still two different Countries with different cultures. In order to get to know eachother better, it is necessary to have a comparison between Chinese folk adage and Koreafolk adage.1. Introduce some research achievements of folk adage between Chinese andKorean. And the research purposes of this thesis.2. Introduce the definition and characteristic of Chinese folk adage.3. Introduce the origin, definition and characteristic of Korean folk adage.4. A comparison between Chinese folk adage and Korea folk adage. Mainly focuson meaning.5. A comparison between Chinese folk adage and Korea folk adage. Mainly focuson rhythm and rhetoric.Last part of the thesis is Conclusion, it summarize all the research in this paper. Ihope the interpret and summarization of this thesis will help the Language interflowbetween China and Korea.
