Folk adage,known as a collection of language and culture,is not only attractive to Chinese people,but also infects an increasing number of foreigners,attracting their interests.In the teaching of Chinese as a second language,along with the urgent need of social environment and learners themselves,folk adage began to be used in teaching process.As a primary concept,folk adage should be taken seriously.However,the studies of folk adage are now still at an early stage,which means related researches have not being paid enough attention.Most scholars are doing research from the perspective of teaching strategies and instructional design but simply explain those key concepts in the comprehensive course.Currently,the designs of teaching folk adage in oral curriculum do not appear.Therefore,it should be necessary to combine the teaching of folk adage and oral Chinese as L2(Second Language)together.Prior to the instructional design,the author has done thorough researches on some characteristic and representative phenomenon at beginning,medium and high levels,in order to make effective select in the teaching process.The collection of multiple spoken idioms are categorized as well.Then,an overall instructional design is made,including primary students,secondary students and senior students,specifically the instructional target,teaching period and teaching method.The whole content is divided into 8 weeks for each stage's teaching activities.This essay,regarding senior students as the teaching object and the collection of‘animals' as the design object,finally come up with a selective course for folk adage and give it out as in a form of teaching plan.From a great deal of analysis and selection towards various folk adages to a concrete,practical teaching plan,scholars are always following the rules of objective law,in order to completely improve student's communication ability in conducting target language and culture.They are also looking forward to a reference value in the future teaching process.
