Comparative category is the syntax and semanteme category with universalism inhuman languages. But the expression shows difference in different languages. To revealthe commonness and individuality of expression of comparative category amonglanguages undoubtedly makes important theoretical and practical value not only inlanguage study but also teaching second language with Chinese.The paper uses the theories and methods of comparative linguistics to makecontrasting investigation for expression types of comparative category of Korean andChinese languages from several angles and takes the basis of contrasting study toinvestigate the acquisition of comparative expression of Chinese of Korean student.The thesis includes six parts.Chapter One introduces the origin, study meaning, study content and generalsituation of study of problem, and at the same time confines the conception and type ofcomparative sentence and the expression of comparative category of Korean andChinese languages.Chapter Two mainly makes comparative investigation for comparison ofsuperiority. And it discusses the difference of three basic essential comprising elementsincluding comparison item, comparative mark and comparison result. In Koreanlanguage the order of comparison item is correspondingly free and Chinese languagestrictly observes the order that comparative subject is ahead and comparative object isback, and the comparative objects of both Korean and Chinese languages can be omittedbut the detailed conditions are different. The expression methods and types of Chineselanguage is more abundant, and this makes the corresponding relation is complicated. Korean language is looser than Chinese language in the expression of comparativeresult and some words with corresponding meanings may be used to express thecomparative results, but Chinese language is strictly restricted in this.Chapter Three discusses the difference of expression of comparison of equality ofKorean and Chinese languages. The comparison of equality is composed of equalcomparison of equality and approximate comparison of equality. The methods andexpression types of comparison of equality of Korean and Chinese languages arebasically the same, but the approximate comparison of equality of which is greatlydifferent.Chapter Four comparatively investigates the negative types of comparativesentence from the angles of syntax, semanteme and pragmatics. The negative types ofChinese language is more than that of Korean language, so it shows the crosswisecorresponding relation.Chapter Five classifies and analyzes the reasons for biased errors occurred duringthe period of studying comparative sentences of Korean students by questionnaire andother methods on the basis of comparative study to count.The last chapter is the conclusion, which summarizes the content of the paper andindicates the deficiency and the content of next step.
