This thesis is based on the survey of private Chinese Language Training Schools in Kunming.It begins with the overall summary of the current teaching situation in these training schools in Kunming. Kunming as a gateway city towards south-east Asia has its mild climate that draws vast amount of foreign students to learn Chinese. It also gains its worldwide recognition as a suitable living place. How to have effective teaching methods and activities in this multi cultural city, and how to strengthen the Chinese program to reach the different learning groups as a private school has been the focus of the thesis. There are four main areas of the content. First, affirming the future developing direction of teaching Chinese as a second language. Second, to establish teaching methods base on the specific cultural and geographic location of Yunnan province. Third, analyzing teaching techniques and to provide quality educational services. Lastly, giving constructional suggestions to help out with the improvement in higher academic level of teaching Chinese as a second language in private training schools in Kunming. |
