Through data analysis, I’ve found that for over the past decade, GuangdongProvince has become the region of China where the population of over-seas studentshas grown fastest. Outside of Beijing and Shanghai, it has become one of the biggestmarkets for over-seas students. In the meantime, Guangzhou has become one of thebiggest markets of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL) outside ofBeijing and Shanghai. At the current time, the private TCSL training market in Chinais still in its infancy. Throughout ten years of development, there are twenty threedistinctive TCSL training organizations developing quickly in Guangzhou. Some ofthem are developing steadily with nice management and stable student sources.However, there are many problems in the industry of TCSL, such as price variations,vicious competition, and much more. Therefore, it’s necessary to study the privateTCSL training agencies of Guangzhou.Making Mandarui Language School the primary example, This paper mainlyuses literary research, case analysis, field survey, and interview research methods inorder to understand the situation of students, teachers, teaching methods, and publicadministration in Guangzhou private TCSL training agencies, with the end goal of providing suggestions and commentary.I think the private TCSL training agencies of Guangzhou should explore orcreate their advantages, fragment the market and create niches, and stay in the lane oftheir focus area. This will help build their individuality and brand. In this market,every agency should keep their market competitiveness by sustainable development,not by viciously cutting prices or releasing false information.Finally, I expect that there will be government intervention that leads tostandardization in the industry, starting with investigating the capacity of the market,raising the requirements for entry into the field, implementing standard requirements,limiting undercutting price tactics, and oversight for TCSL organizations. Thus willallow private TCSL training agencies to develop steadily in a peaceful environmentand make a contribution to our nation.
