Phonology is the material part of language, and the basis for the existence of language. It is necessary to know its phonetics first before learning the language. While tones are priority in learning the tone language, for they will directly determine whether the learners could communicate with the mother language speakers naturally. This article focus on the research of the mistakes that the Thai students have made while they are learning the tone of Chinese. By voice-recording and frequency spectrum analysis of20Thai students who comes from Yunnan University of Nationalities, the author will try to find out some errors and problems in their Chinese tones study. The introduction reviews present situation of Chinese phonology teaching for the Thai students. The first chapter introduces the Phonetic system of Thai and compares it with Chinese. The second chapter states some terms referring Phonetic. In chapter three, software (Speech analyzer and Gold wave) will analyze the pronunciation of monosyllable word and disyllabic word among these elementary students. In chapter four, according to the problems of Thai students on their tone learning, some teaching opinions and advice are given.
