The town of Guanshan lies in the east part of Yanliang district of Xi’an city, the dialect belongs to the Guanzhong dialect of Zhongyuan mandarin. On the basis of the fieldwork, the thesis use the synchronic description, synchronic comparison and diachronic comparison to reveal the feature of the dialect voice, and examine the origins and changes in dialect voice. Also, to further sort out the track of sound changes by contrast with the surrounding dialects.This thesis is divided into five chapters.Chapter one:first, introduce the geography, history and population about Guanshan town. Then, analyze the research situation, significance of the topic and research methods. Finally, introduce the pronunciation partners.Chapter two:mainly describe the phonetic system of Guanshan dialect, including the initials, finals, tones and coordination relationship of the syllables. At the same time, describe the pronunciation variations, including the non-overlapping tone sandhi of two words group, overlapping tone sandhi of two words group, neutral tone and retroflex final.Chapter three:glossary of homonym in Guanshan dialect.Chapter four:compare the phonetic system of dialect with Qieyun, including the initials, finals and tones. This part is presented by form, first from ancient times to nowadays, and then from nowadays to ancient times. As fully as possible, accurately and clearly shows the changes of ancient and modern in dialect. Finally, inductive the phonological features of Guanshan dialect.Chapter five:compare phonetic system of dialect with surrounding dialects. First, based on the synchronic level and then sum up the features of typed. Second, analyze the track of the sound changes. And explain the evolution from the perspective of phonetic theory.
